Words of Courage and Resilience: A Zine for Survivors
University of California, Riverside
in collaboration with
Campus Advocacy, Resources & Education

2018
This project was created as a part of an Empowerment & Healing series promoting free resources for sexual assault survivors on campus. This project sought to ensure that the UCR community could offer different modalities of holistic healing that would be free, accessible, and available to UCR student staff and faculty; build a community of support at UCR; educate individuals on UCR and community resources; reduce the barrier that discourages reporting of sexual and intimate partner violence and prevent individuals from accessing resources; provide messaging of healing that foster self-love and self-acceptance; encourage individuals to explore different kinds of healthy coping skills; and encourage future student-led projects that are focused on facilitating healing, positive coping strategies, and community building.
The printing and distribution of this project was funded by the
University of California Healthy Campus Initiative.
